Role Overview
You’ll own the brand’s social media strategy and execution across four platforms, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality posting cadence that reflects the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and competitive positioning in the premium bourbon category.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute a consistent posting cadence across:
-
LinkedIn (approx. 1x/week)
-
Instagram (primary focus)
-
Facebook (primary focus)
-
One additional platform — open to your recommendation (likely X or Snapchat; TikTok is not desired)
- Develop platform‑specific content calendars that balance education, storytelling, product highlights, market activity, and brand personality.
- Recommend optimal posting frequency for each platform, with heavier emphasis on IG/FB, lighter cadence on LinkedIn
- Create or coordinate content (copy, visuals, short‑form assets) aligned with brand voice and premium positioning.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and maintain a consistent brand presence.
- Track performance analytics and provide monthly insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and market reps to highlight activity in key states.
- Ensure all content complies with alcohol advertising regulations and platform policies.
Requirements
-
Liquor industry experience is required — ideally with bourbon, whiskey, or premium spirits.
- Demonstrated success managing social media for alcohol brands or regulated CPG categories.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and brand tone in the premium spirits space.
- Experience managing social presence in Connecticut, DC, North Carolina, and Florida, with NC and FL as priority markets.
- Ability to translate market activity (events, tastings, distributor activity, wins) into compelling social content.
- Strong copywriting, visual direction, and brand storytelling skills.
- Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable operating in a fractional/contract environment.
