We are recruiting a Brand Cultivator (ie Shared Sales Rep) for a rapidly growing emerging low alc tequila company that is taking off! What is a Brand Cultivator Opportunity?
This is a fractional contract opportunity, ideal for sales professionals in the beverage industry who are interested in, or are already, representing multiple brands as an independent 1099 sales consultant. Our goal is to build a small portfolio of 4-6 brands for each of our Cultivators; enough to fill a bag and make a full-time income, while dedicating enough attention and focus to each brand. The focus of this opportunity is FIELD WORK. You MUST be excited and eager to be OUT in the market, carrying a bag. YOU MUST SEE A MINIMUM of 20 accounts per week for each brand. Ideally, you are presenting all your products to all accounts, so this can be accomplished with between 20-30 account calls.
Our ideal candidates are entrepreneurial salespeople who want to work independently, build their own business and capitalize on their account relationships and have the ability to drive results through market work. Excellent time management and communication with key stakeholders is also critical for success.
What This Role Is Not
This is NOT a W2 position dedicated to a single brand. This is also NOT a part-time position that allows you to have another full-time job. Instead, you'll represent multiple brands—typically 4 to 5 at a time. Each brand provides a retainer of approximately between $1500-$2500 with some variable compensation (either commission or incentives) and a small T&E. While you may begin with only one brand, with our explosive growth, we can quickly bring you multiple brands, if our clients are happy with performance and are seeing results, allowing you to make an excellent living once you have ramped up.
What We Provide
- We build you a portfolio of brands, so you don't have to stress finding clients!
- We bring you 4-6 brands so that you are making as much, if not more, than you would in a full-time, traditional supplier position.
- You can CHOOSE which brands you work with -- as your own boss and a business owner!
- We handle all invoicing to your clients, payments and collections (if needed). We also run credit checks on all clients.
- We take on any risk and liability from collections and/or lack of payment from clients, so you don’t have to.
- We PAY you on the 1st and 15th of each month for all your clients, regardless of whether the client has paid yet.
- We provide workers' comp coverage, even though you are 1099.
- We can provide contacts to assist in finding individual medical benefits, etc..
- You are, of course, still free to work on contracts outside of those we bring you!
- We offer increases to your stipends per brand for consistency and top performance.
Job Expectations:

These opportunities require 3.5 days/week in the market with a minimum of 20-30 accounts calls per week.
- Weekly tracking/reporting of account calls (primarily via Excel) shared with your suppliers each week, with CC to your Seed to Scale contact. If this is not sent, we will immediately be reaching out. This is a requirement.
- Attainment of 30, 60, 90 day and annual KPIS- this should be clearly communicated by Seed to Scale Talent during the interview process.
- Weekly Check-In Call with hiring manager- 30 minutes to run through big wins and challenges.
- Bi-weekly check in (can be email) with Seed to Scale Talent to update on progress. Please also share big wins with Seed to Scale Talent so we can brag on your behalf!
- One in account activation per month (i.e. tasting, happy hour, wine dinner etc.).
- One work-with per month per brand (we require at least two weeks’ notice from the supplier to our Brand Cultivators before a “work with”).
- An initial day of product training when a new supplier is added to your portfolio.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years on wholesale or supplier side of the beverage industry.
- Must have or can obtain a solicitor’s permit in your state.
- In depth account relationships within your market in the target channel.
- Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders and supplier representatives.
- Strong time management.
- Ability to report key activities and accounts calls via Excel or similar software. Hi
